Regulation
Université Europèenne Jean Monnet (Université) - non-profit-making International Association - includes both active members and affiliate members that have the duty of making the tasks of the statute concrete.

Université training activities are run at its own offices, at the schools of the active members or at the branches of the affiliate members: universities, public or private organizations, associations that share the programs.

The students who take part in the training activities in order to get a professional training are affiliate members and have to pay for the entrance fees decided by the Board of Directors.

Associate Schools

  • "The associates with Jean Monnet are not allowed to practice any kind of activities damaging or contrasting with the tasks of Université Jean Monnet and/or Centre Culturel Jean Monnet Asbl, either directly or through different Associations." We are kindly asking you to inform us as soon as possible about your cooperation with other types of association, non-profit or profit making ones, in order to verify their compatibility with Université.
  • Only the associates, either schools or people, can benefit from what Université Européenne Jean Monnet Asbl and/or Centre Culturel Jean Monnet can offer.
  • "Every single school associate with Jean Monnet has to inform Université about its legal office, the number and names of the operating offices and the types of course/s taken there. Each office will have to pay for its own entrance fee. Only the Presidency can make exceptions, by written authorization."
  • "Any communication given using the brand and/or name of Université Européenne Jean Monnet Asbl and any sort of advertisement (on paper rather than through multimedia) has to be authorized, by written agreement." About our logo, we would like to inform that it has been changed (see www.jeanmonnet.com ). As a consequence, we will consider illegitimate any communication received with the old logo, included the associations forms, which will be not accepted. Please, comply with such regulations not later than 30/11/2005.

Administration

Université can decide about the equivalence of the studies the students have completed at a different University (European or not). Before such decision, the students will be asked to take an exam. After passing the exam, Université can allow the students not to attend the courses as well, taking great account of the professional experience the students themselves have.
Université does its training activities through the organization of long or short courses aiming at taking diploma, professional qualifications, after degree specializations, preparatory courses and much more. Université pays great attention to working students’ needs and to social categories with problems: it is possible to adapt, in such cases, the course timetable.
In order to be admitted to Université, the student must have either the educational qualification which would allow him/her to attend University in his/her own Country or the qualifications set by the European Regulations 89/48 and 1992/51. Université can decide to ask the student to take an exam before allowing him/her to attend those courses for which specific knowledge is requested.

Scientific Counsil

The Scientific Council consists of at least three members for each specialization which has been activated or which will be activated.
The Senate activates the programmes of study and works out the research programmes.

Courses Attendance

The students have to attend the classes according to the timetable decided by the Institute where they are attending their courses. The students can decide to enrol for and attend the course at the associate Institute which they consider better for their needs.

Final Exams

The exams are on the days which are decided for each session. They are where the training programme has taken place. If in a different place, it is decided by the President. The student has to prepare a final thesis and name a supervisor chosen among the teachers of the course itself.
For any type of course, it is important to verify what has been learnt by the students through written and/or oral tests, in the respect of the methods set in the plan of studies. The student will give his/her final thesis to the "Jury d\'Examen" at the legal office of the International Association, at Fondation Universitaire in Brussels. The office where the course has been attended will send the report card for each student: it will certify that the training programme has been concluded according to what provided for by the plan of studies.
